Winter Camp at Camp Tycony
What To Bring To Camp:
Help your kids stay active! Switch out those computer and phone screens for some winter fun. Check out what you need to bring to camp and to leave at home. Please remember that the Y is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
A Great Attitude
If your child arrives at Camp with a great attitude and is looking forward to having fun, they are going to have a great time.
Sack Lunch
Please bring your lunch in a brown or white paper lunch bag with your child’s first and last clearly written on the front. Please note, there is no refrigeration offered for sack lunches, so please pack non-perishable items. Large cooler-type lunch boxes are heavier and use a lot of space in our limited cooler space.
Gloves and Hat
We will be outside, so please pack gloves and a hat for your child everyday.
Boots/Winter Shoes
We will be outside (and possibly in snow), so please pack boots or winter appropriate shoes for your child everyday.
Change of Clothes
A change of clothes will be necessary for campers after outside activities, especially if it snows or rains. Please make sure you pack an extra set of clothes for your child.
Water Bottle
Active campers get thirsty and need refreshment often, so make sure that this comes along with them. We will have water stations for refills throughout the camp.
Winter Coat
We all know that Indiana weather can change hourly, so please pack a winter coat or jacket for your child because we will be outside during camp!
Leave Home
We ask that you please leave at home the following items: Handheld computer games, Weapons, Tobacco products, Illegal drugs and alcohol.
