CAMP TYCONY
Camp Tycony is all about discovery and there’s no better place than outdoors on 54 acres of beautiful, wooded land along the Wildcat. Kids have the opportunity to have fun exploring nature, finding new talents, trying new activities, gaining independence, and making lasting friendships & memories. Our summer day camp program serves children ages 5-14 (must have completed kindergarten). Camp Tycony has been a tradition for more than 65 years, and this year’s program promises to be even better. FOREVER NURTURING
YMCA’s Mission & Vision
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. It is our mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our focus has always been to provide a safe environment for boys and girls to learn and excel in camp activities and skills.

Facilities and Activities
Camp Tycony sits on a 52-acre outdoor property in Kokomo! At Y day camp, kids can develop skills, self-confidence, new friendships and a sense of belonging – all while having tons of fun. Summer at the Y allows kids the space to grow stronger and more confident in a safe, nurturing environment.

Lodge
The lodge at Camp Tycony was build in 1970 and renovated in 2019. It is a beautiful building that offers a place for campers to eat lunch and participate in activities during times when children are out of school. It is also available to rent for birthday parties, weddings, reunions, and more.
Pond
The Pond at Camp Tycony was dug in 1971. Today it is home to frogs, turtles, and fish. Campers are taught to boat with our row boats and canoes. They also learn to fish.
NEW: Tube Slide
New this year! We are adding a new feature to camp this year…a slide that will go from the upper level of camp to the lower level. 60 feet of fast paced fun. We can’t wait to try it out!
NEW: Air Soft
A new addition for our campers to participate in.
