What To Bring To Camp:

Help your kids stay active! We will be serving breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily. Check out what you need to bring to camp and to leave at home. Please label all personal items with your child’s name.

A Great Attitude

If your child arrives at Camp with a great attitude and is looking forward to having fun, they are going to have a great time.

Tennis Shoes

Campers will not be permitted to go to Camp Tycony in sandals, flip-flops, or croc-style shoes.

Bathing Suit & Towel on Tuesdays and Thursdays

A Swimsuit and Towel will be needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for swimming. Make sure to pack the swimsuit and towel in a plastic bag. It is also a good idea to mark the child’s first and last name on both the towel and the suit. We also ask that swimsuits be modest for both boys and girls.

Swim Goggles and/or Ear Plugs

If your child prefers swim goggles or ear plugs for lessons, make sure to pack them as we do not have extras here at Camp. Goggles cannot cover the nose or mouth. Please label the goggles with your child’s name.

Sunscreen

It is recommended that all children wear sunscreen and bug spray on days we visit Camp Tycony. Staff may not apply sunscreen or bug spray to children. Due to sensitivities and allergic reactions, the Y will not supply either.

Dress for the weather

Please dress for the Weather. While our program is primarily held inside, we do take field trips to YMCA Camp Tycony three afternoons per week. You may need to pack a rain jacket or coat.

Play Clothing

Campers are very active during this program. Therefore, have your child wear “play clothes” that can become dirty.

Leave at Home
The YMCA is not responsible for any lost or stolen valuables. Please make sure your child leaves toys, trading cards, video games, iPods, cell phones, or other electronic devices at home. Please do not bring candy or food to the YMCA. If a child is sent to the Y with these items, they MUST remain in the child’s bag during program hours. Campers will not be allowed to use these items, and if they do, they will be confiscated and returned to the parent or guardian at check-out. At the Y, we make sure our programs are packed with activities and these personal items can often be a distraction. Thank you for your cooperation.
We will be serving breakfast, lunch and two snacks. Menus will be emailed weekly. We ask that if you do have any dietary concerns that you communicate those with the Director before the program begins.
